The Art Gallery

My teacher instructed me to visit the art gallery. As i walked into the Wilkes Sordoni Art Gallery, it made me think a lot as i looked at each painting. Each painting really didn't have a significant picture , there sometimes was a story to be told as you were looking at the picture. The art gallery was a quiet place, it made you realize deeper into what you were looking at. My opinion on the art gallery was positive it showed me how great a students imagination can be and how much talent there is in painting and sculpturing. Many things that students painted or creating would be something that i could never do.

The Beacon- College Playoffs

In The Beacon newspaper I choose an article in the sports section about football.  Not NFL football, I choose an article about college football where every play is crucial and every player is out there to make it big time. Well how do they make it big time if they don't have a chance to show it in a clutch situation. well this is the argument in the ad , should college football have playoffs? In the perceptive in my eyes, I believe that college should have playoffs it gives all the best teams in the college game to challenge each to see who is the best of the best.
The college committee says that  playoffs should be available because many team have easier schedules than others. Some teams plays 5 ranked team others play 1 but the team with the highest record they will go to a bowl. The other team who is really good who just lost to 4 top 10 ranked teams will not get a chance to play in a bowl. I believe that this playoff idea for college football should progress and become a rule to give every team with a high record a chance to become the best.

Thom Friedman- " The World is Flat"

For my public speaking class, my teacher had instructed me to view a video of an intelligent man named Thomas Friedman talk about how the world is flat. Thom Friedman started his lecture by telling us about his trip to India and comparing it to Christopher Columbus and his discovery of the United States. I thought it was interesting how Thom explained how Christopher Columbus traveled back to england to tell his wife the world is round, then Thom began to tell the audience how he went back to his wife and said the world is flat.
As he began to research more and more about how the world is flat he had an idea that he would call jet blue and ask a simply question. He called jet blue and asked the operating lady where she was during their call. Betty who was an employee of jet blue said that she was in her room at home, looking at the beautiful waters of Salt Lake City,Utah. This amazed Thom and made him more interested, as he began to focus on his book.
